A fool's proclamation
A fool clambered onto the top of a mountain
And stood on a crater and cried,
“Believe me, I’m the wisest!”
The people of the village
At the foot of the mountain heard him.
The wise among them kept quiet;
The foolish ones seconded him
And liked him for his proclamation!
